If you have not yet decided how to spend this evening, Milan’s Blue Note celebrates the arrival of the new year by hosting one of the most important gospel choirs in the world, the Harlem Gospel Choir, which will perform on the prestigious Milanese stage just tonight.
The choir was founded in 1986 by Allen Bailey, who came up with this idea while attending a celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Harlem. U2 renamed them “Angels in Harlem” in appreciation of the magnificent interpretation of “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” which they recorded together in 1988. Since then the “Angels of Harlem” Gospel Choir have done national and international tours. Thanks to their authentic gospel spirit of joy, they have well deserved the reputation of being the “Angelic Ambassadors of Harlem”.
An alternative New Year with concert, dinner and toast to the New Year. Best wishes.
